Is being desperate ever a good thing ?

I was reading this poem yesterday and it was mentioned how being desperate was beautiful.

“But there is nothing more beautiful than being desperate, and there is nothing more risky than pretending not to care.”

What do you think?

You have given me more than you can know. In posting this, you led me to search for the poem. In searching for the poem I found The Thought Catalog on Facebook. There is the place where we can write what people here on SW seem unable to truly enjoy and appreciate. I love writing. I kind of lost my incentive to write, when I discovered there aren't many here who appreciate the ones who do.

@Serenitree aw this is so sweet!🤗 yes, I know what you mean I genuinely enjoy post like this that gets people to truly express who they are and show a different side of themselves that others aren’t usually able to see. I was surprised by how many deep and thoughtful answers I received 😱 some even from people I never realized could be serious and I loved it. I do wish there were more post similar to these but as you said, they’re not typically appreciated. I really didn’t expect to get any replies and I’m extremely glad I did because it changed my view point and gave me a different perspective of things which I love.
