If "classics" are your thing, I recommend Goethe's Faust: A Tragedy, if you haven't read it already. Preferably try out multiple translations if you do not read German, as it's basically impossible to render in English perfectly.

I love the Baroque Cycle from Neil Stephenson, quite a large amount of written pages (3000 pages divided into three books), but I love the accurate research of historic setting it plays in.
