What is the most touching book or novel you have read ?

@daydeeo It's probably been 20 years since I read it, but it still lingers in my mind.
I really should read it again.

@Oldsong2 It is. A woman's life in medieval Norway. Fascinating. Won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1928. I like historical fiction, and this just takes you back, completely immerses you in the culture. Extraordinary detail, yet it's a very human story.
