Do you pronounce the word "nuclear" correctly?

Or do you say it "nucular"?

:)

American English or English English?
SW-User
@SW-User Either one. Anything but "nucular".
SW-User
@SW-User Differnt accents and not least different State and regional accents...
SW-User
@SW-User Yes, there are many. Many that make you sound like an idiot if you speak that way.
SW-User
@SW-User English isn't fixed nor a language with strict regularitues as you seem to believe... Even with a more regular language like Spanish pronunciations can vary
SW-User
@SW-User Actually there are quite a bit of regularities. It's a common misconception that English is somehow illogical or lacks consistent pronunciation. Some differences in pronunciation are the result of dialectical difference and some are not (as this one is. There is no one dialect where "nuclear" is pronounced the GWB way. It's an idiosyncratic aberration). Most languages also have a standard variety; English has several.
SW-User
@SW-User Hmmm, no... And sorry but an error there in your first sentence!
SW-User
@SW-User "Hmmm no". Brilliant comprehensive response. You really are quite an interesting person to converse with.

@SW-User So called grammar Nazis are often not very good at English... With respect your grasp of the language is OK but not great. An example.. Your first sentence and further what you seem to know, or don't, about English in general. Was a university lecturer/professor
I've had my say and will stop here
SW-User
@SW-User And yet you've made numerous errors. It's you who knows little about English, buying into "pop" notions of English being "wacky" when it's often no more inconsistent than any other language. I feel sorry for your students.
SW-User
@SW-User Oh dear...Yes i know a great deal about English. Grammar Nazis get on my nerves😉
