Which leads to -

The Dunning-Kruger effect, named after David Dunning and Justin Kruger of Cornell University, occurs where people fail to adequately assess their level of competence — or specifically, their incompetence — at a task and thus consider themselves much more competent than everyone else.

I so agree! Because logic, common sense, and so basic knowledge is missing I get so frustrated arguing with stupid people. I got in an online argument with a religious nut the other day and its was totally futile trying to even break him free of his most basic misconceptions. Very annoying.

I don't argue with stupid people cuz they provide me with so much entertainment and material for my joke-writing. I got to be nice to them! :)

They'll bring you to their level and then beat you with experience.
