That is weakness of character, which is one of the most unattractive qualities ever. Why stay in the sidelines at all if you know she already has a man? You're not respecting their relationship, and by staying as the side guy you're not respecting yourself. Also I'd feel betrayed. So I'd probably let him know how the situation looks from my point of view, as a friend listen to his side, then ultimately distance myself from him and let him figure things out on his own.

Wow. Well, as much as it looks like something that could hurt. What you have said is the true fact. I will have to learn this.Thank you for your answer :)

i would distance myself from that friend right away
RoyX54 · 36-40, M
Wow. Ok. No matter how close you guys may have been as friends?
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
yes, he would obviously have known I was in a relationship and told me anyway. I'm very loyal to my boyfriend and I don't need that kind of stress dumped into it.. Sounds harsh but it's what I feel would need to happen

@PlumBerries: ok :) Thank you :) I appreciate your answer :)

If there is a thing happening, do her a favor. Distance yourself from her slightly, remain a friend.
Don't get in the way, don't even get close to sinking the ship. They'll have to sink it themselves. Because if you try to get between them it will only end in pain for everyone involved, especially if she misinterprets it.
So just hang back and see what happens.

I believe this is what the guy should do. Ok. I understand. Thanks for the comment :)

I would walk away from the "friend" because he isn't actually a friend after all

@RoyX54: That depends on her, I would think. Some will be okay to do that, others won't be so forgiving.

I would and have walked away. If they were that good a friend, they would have respected the fact that I was in a relationship, not put me in an awful position where I have to hurt somebody.

I understand. Thank you for your comment :)
