Aw as endearing as you have perceived this to be I would be informing that kids parents and your coworkers.
Kids say random stuff ... if you think that’s awkward then maybe you’re over thinking it and that isn’t a smart move considering you’re a grown adult with a minor.

@Ksmile14 I told him bluntly, "Did you not finish you work yet? Is that why you said that? Please go back to your seat now." His classmates were anticipating an answer from me as they too had that naughty grin on their face. And then, the lesson began as normal as it could be.
