@gingershuman I love that, that sounds way better then how I said it 😂
I don't think so. Maybe it's more of what you are and what you perceive in life. Happiness is not a destination.

For me it would be a higher tolerance level and stronger resilience. When it’s tough or painful, to keep driving towards my goal. This was I know I’ll succeed for anything.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
This is all easier said than done, but it comes down to gratitude and not needing anything more than you have to be happy. Again, I’ll let you know when I actually feel this way 😂
Considering all I want is love, family, friends and peace, I think I'd be very grateful.
I’ve heard similar, that happiness comes from wanting what you have rather than having what you want.

The idea of having something spares one the complication of actually having it.
My mom had that all figured out. When driving past a $million mansion her usual comment was. “Nice house, if you don’t have to clean it”

I`m 72 and have no idea what I really want, nor do I think I ever will.
goliathtree · 56-60, M
@Degbeme Deg....like me, you once knew what you wanted, but you got old and forgot.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@goliathtree Forgot what? 🤔
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
I think there is great unhappiness in wanting to have things you can't have.
Ashly · 26-30, F
@Justmeraeagain yea basically 😅 at least I’m aware of it

Its the idea of getting it.
They've proven this by doing scans of peoples brains who gamble.
If they win, even if they win big, the happiness doesnt last - they go back to gambling.
In fact, they have a bigger endophin rush when they lose as, 'in their head' this means a win is getting closer.
Same with druggies
People who window shop online
Same with relationships
More often than not, If/then happiness, (ie" if i get 'x', then I'll be happy), isnt the happiness people imagine it to be.
Its the anticipation of it that is the rush.

ImNotHungry · 36-40, M
The happiness would be fleeting. Once you get it, you start looking for the next best thing.
Ashly · 26-30, F
@ImNotHungry it’s not what you think 😂 sort of
