Kids will always be kids. People will always be people. I think it's important kids learn to stand up for themselves fast, because if not, these things can happen! People can be horrible

But did we do right in calling police tho as they did crack the window there parents acting like we're being silly
@Sueann30: Maybe you should have spoken to their parents first and made a more thought about decision afterwards, but what's done is now done I'm afraid

We'd all like to think we live in a world of live and let live.
Boys will be boys, and all that !
Unfortunately, we don't !
We are watching a generation of kids being brought up on a diet of low ability parenting; any garbage you can imagine in terms of media; and lack of will from either parents; extended family; school; community etc to challenge poor behaviour.
Of course, none of this is the fault of a wayward nine year old mouthing off at folk in the street. But there's no doubt that same nine year old and his parents need putting in a room and telling how badly behaved and disrespectful they are.

No.. Make a record of these accounts.

You did well.

Trust me on this one.

Parents should also pay for damages. All of them and fix that brat of theirs.

Yes, you're right for calling the police. If they're harassing your children and they threw a stone and caused property damage, it should be reported. Idk how old these kids were but that's a misdemeanor. Their parents should pay for the property damage by getting you a new window
