Nope, good old fashioned stick and poke. I was inspired by this old WWII vet who said his buddy gave him one with a pen an needle.I at least used tattoo ink and needles.That sounds awesome and terrifying at the same time!

I would be pretty careful about doing that. You said it's almost completely faded, I guess that's why it's good to get it professionally done at least..
