There is nothing to do with the religions. It's all about the human being itself.

Not all war is the cause of religion actually its not the religion per say its the intolerance, ignorance and when people don't understand what they're own religion asks of them or maybe purposely use the name of religion to cause war

A one word answer..... MEN!
AllAboutTheFacts · 31-35, M
No. War have been in the human nature for a long time. I do not think the problem is religion. Cause it can work just as an ideology can. I think the problem is extremist.

War happens for a lot of reason. Not religion have sometimes caused it sure, but I doubt it is correct to say that it is because of it. War starts on different reason. I always tell people to be proud of their belief. But also accept others.

People tend to find something to blame problems on. Sometime it is a country they blame, or a person etc. It is rarely that black and white.

Cheers

There were religious wars throughout history but there were also wars for all kinds of ideological or political reasons

Perhaps ideology is a better word, and the territorial imperative.

Has been often enough, but not always.
War results from miscalculations as nations exert power.

Look at all the wars the British became involved in.

If both nations understand their own and the opponents power ...then the outcome is already known ... and people negotiate to a win-lesser lose solution.

It is when power is miscalculated that battle occurs.

Yes, some of it.
Religion and politics and science all have a say in war (Edit: And human nature itself), Religion flies people into buildings, politics funds the war after, and scientists give the weapons to fight it.

If a country is secular and well governed then personal beliefs are fine. It's when you have theocracies that can't/won't control religious extremists that things go awry.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
War is beacause of human beings. Blaming a way of thinking or different groups is not necessary. A person who will wage war doesnt need religion to do so, proven countless of times. Religion might become an excuse to wage war, but even if they didnt have their religion, they'd find a different reason.

@questionWeaver Which god are you referring to? There are so many after all.
My faith is expressed by the Nicene Creed

We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
Maker of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial
of one Being with the Father.

Through him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.

On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.

With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified.

He has spoken through the Prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.

We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen
