Do people really care about saving Wildlife ?

Japan has stated that it will resume whaling this year and yet the world is mostly silent.
Whaling for "Scientific Purposes" What crap. Even my Australian Government is too pathetic to raise objections.
The International Whaling Commission rejected Japans application to recommence Commercial Whaling and as a result Japan withdrew from the body.
So, Japan is simply going to be allowed to cruelly kill whales while the world sits back and does nothing.
I at least partition my Government to take action, to fund Greenpeace, to no avail. Because the majority of the population are so apathetic as to do nothing

Japan was killing these whales already and the public at large didn't notice. If they got this far doing it already then I trust they have found sustainable methods and will only increase intake at a suitable rate if they choose

@Jackaloftheazuresand But the international community has said no to commercial whaling. Supposedly all Countries are to abide by these standards or suffer sanctions.
But that does not happen because all these bodies are quite useless. If a country wants to go against world opinion then they are simply allowed to do s they wish with nowt penalties.

I'm not one for global authority, not only is it ineffective but it's also arrogant.

If the US said it was going to do it there would be little tantrums all over the place.

@katielass There are little tantrums,as you call them, going on now. But tantrums achieve nothing.

@Gusman yes, I agree.
