I usually think of evening as starting around 6 p.m. I don't know if there is an official standard.

Just a few days back I discovered that the word evening must be even-ing of the day and night which is 5 pm onwards and also depends on the sunset time of the place ..

I am used to evening as after 4pm .. Night is after 9 pm .. as Nine was night which followed after Eight...

6-9 pm. Since it’s not bedtime yet but it’s lost peoples unwinding time

Early afternoon: noon-3 p.m. Mid-afternoon: 2-4 p.m. Late- afternoon: 3-6 p.m. Evening: 6-9 p.m.Nov
