Someone help me understand this song.

She keeps saying, "You gotta lick is before we kick it."

She never says what he has to lick exactly though. And you don't normally lick something that you are going to kick. Like a soccer ball or something?

And about 2:40 when she says "give my cat a kiss", well I mean you aren't really suppose to kiss a cat. 🤨

Today I was at a supermarket and there was a song playing over the loud speaker with a guy singing about, “sit on my face.” I was shocked that was on there cause I never heard anything like that there or anywhere but clubs/parties 🤣

@MellyMel22 Mel I tell ya, you remember when we were kids, stores played elevator music or maybe Seals and Croft (some cheezy light rock 70's bands)

Now it is like they just play whatever. They are trying to appeal to those of us who are "old" now. 😄

@MellyMel22 @HoeBag I couldn’t help but think back to my teen years. That song by Billy Idol - Eyes Without a Face was just hitting the radio. One of my friends thought it was saying

I supply the place 😂

@MellyMel22 Like in your teens?

@Ambroseguy80 I can imagine some people heard that. Would be hard to tell if someone didn;t know the name of the song

@HoeBag Yes or possibly very early 20s. I’m 44.

@MellyMel22 50 here. Maybe we are just getting a bit older, but things seem really strange now.

But for music, yeah I was at work a few years ago in some store, one of the songs played on the overhead was "Beautiful girl" by Van Halen.

We*rd because though it is not suggestive nor vulg4r, it is definitely a little harder rock. I was thinking, "Back when this was only a couple years old, stores wouldn't have DARED play something like this."

@HoeBag Yeah, things are def changing. I feel bad for the kids.

@MellyMel22 It makes you wonder what sort of things our parents and grand parents were freaked out about when they were our age. Things us Gen Xer's and older Millenials find to be "normal".

EDIT - add a couple things.
