And in political terms it´s a good thing. A needed one.
Even so and in military terms they should be aware (and I hope they are) that in assimetrical wars like this one their main advantage is still in a fluid long term strategy rather than in fast advances.
Those recent advances, besides reinforcing their people determination, were needed cos (back to your quote) another political factor.
The continuity of external material support.
