@SW-User You totally misread von Moltke's insight. All he is saying is that "your enemy has their plans too" and you must be prepared instantaneously to change your plans, adopt new strategies, and respond effectively to their actions. There is nothing remotely cowardly about it. Quite the opposite: it is the only intelligent way you can be sure, in the end, to "kick ass" as you so elegantly put it.
