Oooooohhhh....not sure about this. I have 2 friends from school whom I have known for 48 years. We all live apart now but meet up a few times a year. We love each other with all our hearts and would drop everything to help if needed. I have made many close acquaintances over the years but nothing compares to my 2 best buddies.

Oh I totally agree with that - but I think the quote is more about the business or work environment. I'm not saying I agree with the philosophy, but it's interesting that it exists. And think of the many "patnerships" that have dissolved AND destroyed the friendship, often over jealousy. Look at the history of the start of Facebook, Tesla, even McDonald's. The people who make the mistake of thinking they are friends with their partners are the ones who get screwed.
