I think he portrays lots of the beauty of the knowledge and feeling of the Middle East, that is unfortunately pushed aside from the global knowledge and appreciation map, due to the extremities and wars. I find this so unfortunate with knowledge coming from less developed places, ancient wisdom lost because of weird political turns.
I grew up in the Western civilization but I did a long trip in the SE Asia for two years and that taught me a lot and showed me new ways of seeing the world.
