Napoleon in early 19th century, have enough sense to know that if a nation of this size, with a population like theirs puts it act together there is simply no match at to all nation including the west at its peak of its power in 18th to 19th century.
Today the US really need to understand this Napoleon gem said, Ben when China is weak and ripe for the picking but US today still harbours ideas of containing China today! So either Napoleon is beyond his time or US today are run by illogical leaders!
With 4 times the US population, having already twice US population of middle class, churning out 100 times that of US scientist, engineers, technologist yearly, in a state of the art infrastructure is scary.
Not to mention every single one hungry, determined, driven, industrious, with very high IQ, and the best training and educational standard, highly disciplined and hard working yet willing to sacrifice to do well for themselves and China too.
In a generation China will be twice that of USA and in 50 years China will be 4 times US size in economy and a stronger military and political power. Those who is worried about China today I have an American slang to fully comprehend the situation.
