Quotes which always apply.

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” - George Santayana, The Life of Reason (1905)

"Want of foresight, unwillingness to act when action would be simple and effective, lack of clear thinking, confusion of counsel until the emergency comes, until self-preservation strikes its jarring gong — these are the features which constitute the endless repetition of history,” - Winston Churchill, House of Commons (1935)
“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

This is the first one that I really can't agree with. Just because you don't remember the past doesn't mean you'll necessarily repeat it, nor that you're condemned to repeat it. Most likely the person who forgot the past probably learned a hard lesson so I doubt they would repeat it. It just depends on how the person handled the situation at the time. So I can't go along with Santayana on this one. It doesn't mean the person didn't learn anything at all, nor does it give room for improvement in the future. I kind of feel like he was thinking negative on this one.

These are also the features which conspicuously characterize the Biden Harris administration.
