@SW-User From what I’ve seen and read he was a very interesting person. I think he’s often over celebrated for being crazy but he peaked in the 1970’s and yet he was still able to sustain himself and his creative abilities and visions until he himself was approaching his seventies. It’s a rare thing to commit suicide that late in life too.
While older adults comprise just 16.8% of the population, they make up approximately 22% of suicides. In 2022, among the nearly 49,449 suicides that took place in the U.S., 10,433 were attributed to people age 65 and up.Jan 9, 2024
