Dad was an agnostic/atheist. I don't think God entered the picture in his mind. I think it was more important that he put the fear in me more than anything else. 😏

Not so much of the fear he put in me (which made for a great quote), but because after seeing so many people I knew waste their lives on drugs, I was terrified of becoming addicted.

I was aware that there was a thin line between success and failure. I didn't want to tip the scales in the against due to drugs.

When I reminded him of the quote, he chuckled. "You believed me?"

Yep, pretty much. 😏
