The gestalt prayer...

There are many versions of this bit of prose. Some even attributed to Bruce Lee of all people, which is totally ridiculous.

If you you look it up you will likely see that its attributed to a psychologist by the name of Dr. Fritz Perls.

This at least more accurate. Yet what few will mention it's a psychological method of approach, that was though up by a team of psychologist.

The prose itself may have mostly come from Dr. Perls yet likely the other team members had a hand in it. Hence the many slightly different versions over the decades.

Gestalt therapy had originally started in the 1940's and 1950's. So likely everyone had a hand in the making of this prose that really didn't become popular until the 1970's.

There is simply no way to say who came up with this particular version, so the best attribute would be for the whole team.

My sister in-law at the time was getting her master's degree in psychology. I was her Ginny pig for her thesis! 馃ぃ

This was similar to one of the many posters I had in my room, not the same. It was as well the only one she approved of! 馃檭

@OldMan70 and my sister in law would have said, that it's in the journey not in what you seek!

That BTW is the gestalt therapy take.

Gestal means looking at the whole picture. Not the details.
