do i have to hate the person atleast a bit, i used to love, to forget him/her [I Like a Good Quote]

dont want to hate her,but just cant move on
Hate brings very little. If you hate on them, you're actually hating on yourself for that period you spent with them. There might be actions you can hate, but that doesn't mean you have to hate all of that person. Things can go out of hand, and you can lose respect for someone, but again, that's not hate. It's a part of your past, like it or not.
I don't think so. I tend to be more rational than emotional though. For me it helps to work out why they're not a good fit. I can see how that wouldn't work for a lot of people though.
No, hate still focuses you on her. You have to work at a time thing. "It was lovely, but that was then and this is now."

Kinda like an ice cream sundae consumed in 2011.

Hate really just hurts you more. In my experience, time and friends heal and help.

@ARP1499 Try to find things you enjoy doing to get your mind off of her, at least for a little while. Soon, you’ll go longer and longer without thinking of her, and then one day, you’ll be able to look back on it all with grace.

Not necessarily. For some people, hating the person (or anger) for whatever they did to you, comes first and helps the healing process. Anger is just one of the stages of grief and it gets mixed up with sadness and denial.
