I do feel defeated in that way almost all my life .. sometimes I wonder if its because I overestimate myself ..

Underestimating oneself can also garner the same results.
Maybe it's time for a little soul searching.

I feel its a futile activity .. best is to try and live in the moment and not think about potential .. if you try and be in moment and react and act in the moment, you will achieve potential of yours in that moment .. its only when one allows one to reflect on the past that one thinks of being defeated.
