“Will tonight be the night?”…handwritten sign in a firehouse I worked in.
“ Let the rough end drag, the slick end slide”. An expression I heard while in Korea circa 1970. No idea what it means.

Maintain a free-range mind. Be fun, be innovative, be interesting to others; think outside the box you're in, giving no way to naysayers. But be grounded by the principles and axioms that you consider the basis of right living--that "rough end" that serves as a ballast against extremes.
