I Like Quotes and Sayings

“The new understanding of tolerance has meant a shift from accepting the right of others to hold dissenting views to demanding acceptance of such views as equally valid. It thus implies a shift from free discussion of conflicting truth claims to suppressing conflicts by silencing truth claims. This shift, makes the new tolerance intellectually debilitating as well as blind, intolerant, and socially dangerous...... The result has not been a state of ultimate freedom but a tolerance that makes rejection of absolutes an absolute. That, of course, is self-contradiction.” ~ James Kalb, in “The Intolerance of Liberal Toleration” [c=#BF0000]http://bit.ly/2wUWvUB[/c]

It is a contradiction. I saw your argument with master Lee and slave etc

I couldn't put my finger on why it was somehow mildly amusing but I think you just did.

They were offended by your free words. You were offended to not be allowed to speak freely.

You were both arguing for your freedoms by trying to supress the others freedoms.

That's what it was.

On another note I read how you were a lawyer and chose to be a stay at home mum. I didn't exactly choose it at first, I was ill, but reading that validated my choosing for a long while after it was a choice. I have alot of qualifications and use them mostly to assist my children because I've never used them in a career. Even now I choose to run two very small businesses working for myself basically in jobs that literally require no specific qualifications because I can spend more time with them than if I took on a job from anyone else. I sometimes still internally struggle with this. But i found reading your life choice very affirming. Sometimes I forget it is ok to pick your family and your children over being out there proving that you are competent and intelligent and have education etc.
