I've put together some interesting facts that I know

Tomatoes are more closely related to potatoes than potatoes are to sweet potatoes.

Tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, eggplant, tomatillos, tamarillos, goji berries, datura and even tobacco all belong to the nightshade family.

Strawberries can inherit down syndrome.

Stored oxygen in the brain can keep a severed head conscious for up to seven seconds.

A shark can smell a single drop of blood in the water from a mile away.

Dandelions are completely edible, so are tulips (I've eaten one before, just for the fun of it).

Roses, almonds, apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, plums, jujubes, cherries are all related, belonging to the Rosaceae family.

According to botany, bananas are berries and strawberries are not berries.

Tomatoes are fruits because a fruit develops from the flower of a plant. Vegetables are the other parts of the plant.

Fact: I think botany is super interesting

Add a bit to your nightshade category.

The leaves of all nightshade plants are always poisonous.

So don't make a tea out of them.

@DeWayfarer as are the fruits on potato plants.... have to be careful with nightshades I suppose

@caPnAhab that one I really don't understand.

You see you can graf a tomato branch onto a potato plant and it will grow both tomatoes (fruit) on top and potatoes in the ground.

My father did this by grafting them and planting it in a bottomless trash can.

What are the signs that a strawberry has downs syndrome? That's an odd fact.
