In the 10th to 15 century the men in the Persian army wore heeled boots when on horse back 🐎. It helped them keep their feet in their stirrups and offering more stability for bow men 🏹 and some other qcb mounted soldiers.
The trend eventually moved with some Persian migrants across Europe. The European elites decided to take up the idea. The men wanted to low key intimidate other men by looking taller.
Later on the wealthy women decided to start wearing them so they can be taller.
Your average guy or gal continued to wear your basic flat boots or shoes. The cost of your basic shoes was alot. So it was not a fashion item to be had by them.
I am not sure why I have the like of wearing heels 👠. Maybe I am a reincarnated Persian or English man from the 10th to 15th century. Granted my heels are better looking.
