I Love Weird Facts

I have been watching some of the episodes of the first season (1952) of "The Adventures of Superman", starring George Reeves. I've picked up some arcane tidbits about Jimmy Olson, as portrayed by Jack Larson on the show:

1) His middle name is Bartholomew.
2) He is a Chicago White Sox fan.

And he had a beeper before anyone else (his signal watch to call Superman)

@xixgun Yes,but I am pretty sure that was in the comic books and not on the 50's TV show.

@DrWatson True. The actress who played Lois Lane in the 50’s series was the woman on the train in the first Superman movie

@xixgun Yep....and her daughter on the train was supposed to be Lois Lane as a girl. The actress is Noel Neil.

But I am currently watching Season 1, in which Lois Lane is played by a different actress, Phyllis Coates. Noel Neil had played the part for the Superman movie serials back in the 1940's, so when Phyllis Coates left the show after one season, the producers had a natural choice to turn to as a replacement.
