I usually ignore them, but ones I do use are from my bank, even after a very simple transaction like a bank-transfer payment.

They are short, generally just a 1 to 10 rating and asking wht my score.

I always give 9 or 10 (the highest) and explain with something like, "Friendly, efficient, professional service by real people in a real bank branch".

This is sincere but also a veiled opposition to the bank closing so many branches, including that in the main town in the West of the county, and that in the county-town itself.

It's now got so OTT that if I spent even 5 minutes on these marketing ploys, I'd be spending hours a month helping them sell my info to 'selected partners' and opening up the flood gates.

I kind of feel it’s more like “fill in this short survey, so that you can do our job for us in order to extract more dosh from you in the future please”.
