If every country, individual, and corporation demanded to be paid immediately for national debt's owed, many countries would be bankrupt, like USA ($37.8 Trillion and growing).
Not sure why USA is even a viable source anymore, you would think countries and individuals would see a dying horse and not ride it anymore. Does USA ever pay their debts?

The US Dollar is in the process of being replaced as the world currency for Trade and Commerce for the very reason you speak of. The USA is a bankrupt Nation and tariffs were implemented to help pay the National Debt but they will never achieve that end goal.
