20 years ago, 2004, did you think the world 2024 would be like what it is now? eg, the technology, cars

and How old were you then? I'd have been 23 December of that year.

No,I didn't think much about the development from industrial point of view but my thought was more towards the medical side.Around late 2003-early 2004(couldn't remember when exactly),there was this acquaintance of me who died of cancer.It made me wonder will it be curable 20 years from now?I even used to think will diseases like HIV-AIDS/Rabies be curable 20 years from now?
Alas!we never made any progress in the past 20 years in medical aspect except here and there.
