I did, something called Tonglen in a group. The idea is not to brace ourselves from pain and suffering that is inevitable but accept it internally. We strengthen our sense of belonging and interdependence on larger web of being. The process is fairly simple though the practice is not - Inhale thinking of the pain someeone is having and exhale thinking they find peace. In a gathering it kind of resonates well with yourself because the whole group is just taking and accepting pain and giving compassion outwards.
