I wouldn't have wasted so many years going to university studying business when my intention all along was to become self-employed, which I achieved.
When one is self-employed in a business they created, one does not need to go to university nor to business college to make that happen because neither institutions actually teach you how to start a business nor how to run a business.
Business itself is too involved and too specific for what one can learn in university or college about business subjects, which means one who has a Degree in Business Administration only has broad overview of all business subject matter within a chosen curriculum, in the real world. Having an overview of a whole lot of different subjects is not the way to get started in business!
What university teaches you how to do however, is become a good employee who seeks employment from an established business while using one's university credential to secure that employment, but university does not teach you how to become an EMPLOYER either!
If you want to go and work for somebody else, then go to school. If you want to work for yourself, save your money and spend it on hired professionals who specialize in business-related issues who can literally run your business for you without you knowing a thing about their job!
