What’s one outdated system that is still widely accepted, even though newer, better ones exist?

Imperial units of measurement... but I still want my ale served by the pint, journeys in miles; and a few other exceptions!

Newer is not necessarily better, though for anything technical the SI units are far easier to handle than the Imperial ones.
