South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana. We go there every year. We'll be going there next month.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily What is your favorite town there and your favorite thing to do there?
Blondily · F
@Musicman I just love it all. ☺️
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily That's great! How long will your trip be? A couple of years ago we went to Cheyenne Wyoming. We liked it. 🙂
Blondily · F
Awesome@Musicman!
We will be gone a week. Going to go to Devils Tower, Mount Rushmore, Spearfish Canyon, a creek in Missoula, Livingston, and on the way back Cody, Wy and visit the museum, shops, etc. We've been going for years. Luv it back there.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily WOW! You are going to have a super busy week. We took our motorhome. The drive from Florida to Wyoming was five days alone. We were gone for 7 weeks total and we went to Cheyenne Wyoming, Wichita Kansas, Oklahoma City and Memphis Tennessee.
Blondily · F
@Musicman You guys get really busy on your vacations too! 7 weeks I cant even imagine! After a week I miss home and so does my dog. lol
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily That is the great thing about being retired. We have the time. We have a kitty and she comes with us. She is definitely not left home alone.

Blondily · F
You're livin the good life then@Musicman!
Awe your cat is so cute! 🥰
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily We are truly blessed. Kitty is so helpful too. One day she decided to rearrange the cabinet and make a shopping list for us. Lol!!! 😂😂😂

Blondily · F
Thats adorable@Musicman!
We had a cat years ago. We had a neighbor watch her while we were on vacation. We checked in and her sitter told us she destroyed the shower curtain. I guess she missed us so we hurried back home. lol
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily I have heard stories like that. ☹️ That is the one thing about an RV your pets can come with you. She isn't fond of travel days, but she loves it when we are parked.
Blondily · F
She survived her ordeal and back to normal when we got back@Musicman
Yep but our dog sure likes going with us. But when he comes home from a vacation you can sure tell he's happy to be home. lol
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily For as much as we love traveling both my wife, the cat and I are happy to come home. Then we need a day or two just to rest and relax.
Blondily · F
@Musicman I can relate to that! lol
But then I dread unpacking and doing laundry!
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily Wait till you unpack an RV after a month or two trip. Lol!!! 😂😂😂 Fortunately we do have a onboard washer and dryer so we do laundry along the way.

Blondily · F
@Musicman Thats great it looks really beautiful! All the comforts of home. How long have you had it?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily Six years now. 🙂
Blondily · F
@Musicman nice! did you purchace it new? We've been debating whether to get one or not.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily Oh no!!!!! New is way to expensive. Even used it was still six figures. 😭 We highly recommend them. Once you travel in one there is no better way. My wife was always one of those people where I had to constantly pull off the highway so she could use the bathroom. Now with the motorhome she can use the bathroom while we are going down the road. The kitchen is also fully accessible while driving. In the afternoon she will make us snacks. Usually she will cut up some veggies or an apple. Here is what it looks like in travel mode with the slides in.

Blondily · F
@Musicman wow its beautiful! I could actually buy one today but its been something we are still thinking about.
We've even thought about living in one but after reading the pros and cons its still not decided.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily We know people who live in them fulltime, but that just isn't for us. We have a very nice single family home in South West Florida. There is absolutely no better place to spend the winter then at home. Our back porch is screened in along with our front porch. Right now we have all the doors open and are enjoying a lovely breeze blowing through the house. 🙂
Blondily · F
@Musicman sounds very nice!!!
I live in the foothills east of Seattle and it would be hard to leave my view. So I can relate to how you feel. Nothing better than home!
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily Definitely not. We can't afford to live on the Gulf. Those water front homes start in the low 10 figure range, but drive a few blocks and we can this every day if we want.

Blondily · F
We both are fortunate to live in beautiful areas@Musicman!
Thats amazingly beautiful scenery! Its expensive here too near the mountains but my view are trees which I love looking at everyday. Its calming. Im a bird watcher so this is what I see everyday. The birds made a nest in my fushia plant so Im waiting for the eggs to hatch.🙂

@Blondily That is so neat! What a beautiful picture 😍
