I have math question, I'm trying to get better at it

No it's not for school work but I'm looking at bulk items on Amazon, I want to know and learn how to get the uni price.
I used to be good in math but it's been awhile.
For example, there's these fidget popper keychains I am looking at.
If there's 80 pieces of the fidget toys and the whole thing costs $11.99, what would the unit price be?
This might be simple math but I just want to learn it again.

Units (in general) tell you how to calculate simple things.

The "unit price" is the "price per unit"..."per" is represented in units by division (the slash, "/").

So you want $/item; retailers might say "per each", which is a generic term (instead of "per orange", "per dress", etc.).

If you have $x for y items, you have

$x/(y items) = ($x/y)/item

If you had $100 for 20 items, you'd have $5/item, right?

$100/(20 items) = $(100/20)/item = $5/item.

[You can also think about it as a ratio:

if $x gets you y items
the $z gets you 1 item where

($x : y) :: ($z : 1)

or $x/y = $z/1 so z = $x/y (same as before).]

For YOU,

$11.99/(80 pieces) = ($11.99/80)/piece

or just under $0.15/piece.
@Itsjustbrit Hey, thanks!

.15 each. 11.99 divided by 80
