What's your go-to: Rock, paper, or scissors?

@JohnnySpot My husband used to always get that saying wrong, it didn’t make sense to him, either.

@JohnnySpot it means you can't keep it and eat it too.

So when using it as a reference...usually means can't screw around and still expect to keep your girlfriend or boyfriend too

@Bexsy I’m definitely old, I’ve never heard it used in that context, though it does make sense that way.

@Bexsy No, it makes perfect sense in that context and easy to understand. Like I said, my husband thought the saying didn’t make sense. He’d say, "you just want to have your cake and [b]ice cream[/b], too !" Perfectly logical—but wrong. Bless his heart. 😌

@bijouxbroussard in the old days there was a shortage of stones that's why you had to try to kill two birds with one.
