No lying...I need to know in case we're ever in an impromptu battle and you forgot I asked this question. 馃え

I have actually never played that, though I鈥檝e seen it done. 馃槃

@Bexsy scissors cuts paper
@JohnnySpot yes it does. Paper covers rock. Rock crushes scissors

@Bexsy could you explain that saying about having your cake and eating it too?
@JohnnySpot My husband used to always get that saying wrong, it didn鈥檛 make sense to him, either.
@JohnnySpot it means you can't keep it and eat it too.

So when using it as a reference...usually means can't screw around and still expect to keep your girlfriend or boyfriend too
@Bexsy I鈥檓 definitely old, I鈥檝e never heard it used in that context, though it does make sense that way.

@bijouxbroussard in the old days they use to go around shaking sticks at large groups of things.
@bijouxbroussard lol maybe I'm wrong. It's how I've always heard it
JohnnySpot56-60, M
@Bexsy it can be applied to anything you can't have both ways.
@Bexsy No, it makes perfect sense in that context and easy to understand. Like I said, my husband thought the saying didn鈥檛 make sense. He鈥檇 say, "you just want to have your cake and ice cream, too !" Perfectly logical鈥攂ut wrong. Bless his heart. 馃槍

@bijouxbroussard in the old days there was a shortage of stones that's why you had to try to kill two birds with one.
@JohnnySpot Ah, yes. 馃構
