This is probably the biggest misconception among the Christian community, but promoted more by Christian Nationalism which controls the doctrine of the American Protestant Church.
Just because a person doesn't believe Christ was God, doesn't mean they reject him, especially any of his teachings.
Take myself, I was born and raised in the Apostolic Church, but I no longer believe Christ is God, but he was a great prophet that came for his people, and we that are not his people can apply the best of his teachings as we can apply the best of all wise men's teachings.
I simply have chosen the Wisdom of the founders and choose to be a diest.
