Ask them a question where they have to give the asker something back. A lot more quieter.

Most people are ego driven so they will enjoy talking about themselves. That's why when u find people who will listen hold on tight. Also online some might be more careful but if you really want something fight for it maybe just keep asking untill one can return what you seek.

@userfawkes1105 thats just reminded me of the guy who claimed he had a therapy degree so he could get people to open up. Very manipulative.

@PaleandPolluted that's horrible sorry to hear that. If some one opens up to you it's a gift they give you as they confine in you. For this reason it's best to just listen and not weigh in. Even therapist let you find your own answers by making you ask yourself the right questions. He must have had a big ego to act that way...if it helps you could pitty him those people with big egos are just protecting lots of inner insecurities and grow their ego trying to hide those insecurities in it's shadow. Where ever he went his insecurities followed. They act this way because they are the most fragile. Good thing you saw through him.
