I think this is a tricky question, because I feel people have different definitions of what they consider a tantrum is, and also given the situation, circumstances, and age can all play a part in why a tantrum can be understandable sometimes.

For example, zenny mentioned a child being kidnapped is acceptable for them throwing a tantrum, but I consider that a call for help more than a tantrum....and, sometimes tantrums are just that even if your life isn’t on the line. We live in a society where we have such high expectations of one another and we’re always expected to act appropriate, and given the circumstances and what someone is going through sometimes it seems impossible to act appropriately. At the end of the day, we don’t know what people are going through, we don’t know what bad news they just experienced, or how exhausted they maybe, or how they’re simply feeling that day. So, to expect people to act appropriately all the time, regardless of their age. Is not realistic. Sometimes people just lose it
