What if your interviewers digging your life in social media?

Do you shut down your social media? (If you don't want to be cancelled).

Do you think it is right for them to decline you just because your comments or posts in social media?

Sometimes, I fear I might get cancelled in real life because of my social media activities.

I don’t think they have a right to do that but they are trying to protect the reputation of their own workplace most likely. And some probably just to spy on their employees. There was an incident at the store where I worked where employees on Facebook were spreading false rumors on FB about two of the workers in their dept., who were married and from another country. It got reported and the employees were told to remove the posts.
