It’s strange. I was just lying on the floor crying. I’d been through so much worse. Homeless, police cells, beatings etc etc. My rock bottom was all in my head...

@SW-User my final surrender moment a few days after the cliff incident was just laying on the floor crying for about 3 hours.
I was just beaten and I couldn't go on any more.

Yeah same. I just knew that I couldn’t carry on the way I was...
I just sobbed like a baby. I think at that moment I’d finally stopped fighting a fight that I couldn’t win. I never knew that I had to surrender to stop drinking. I lost count of the times that I vowed to beat it. I didn’t know any better though...
