Stop using "literally " when you mean "metaphorically". It may not help with the spam but it will make the world a better place.

@ThePatientAnarchist But then "metaphorically" doesn't rhyme well with the rest of that sentence though - doesn't suit the other words I used to compose that whole sentence and I don't think it affected the world one bit.. So stop exaggerating and at least appreciate the fact that I don't do any spelling mistakes.

My mom has about 5000+ spam mails. She is 80+ and has given up on trying to delete them or keep up with them.

Easy way : Make a list of places you want to have your email address like the bank and any government related , now create a new address update them all with your new address.

Hard Way: Mark the senders as spam, find out if there's a pattern and block them with a rule.
