Lord of the Flies is an easy read. It's much more enjoyable reading it as a metaphor for the struggle between our conscious and subconscious minds.

I haven't read the other two, so I'm afraid I can't give you any input beyond that.

@TinyViolins Lord of the Flies is not that easy in my exeperience, I'm half way through the book now and I find the sentences full of ambiguity - makes it hard for me to picture the scenes in my mind.
