Depends on how one defines nobile, and how far back you go, as I believe the main country of my families ancestor, if you owned land, then you were considered a noble, and someone surely owned some land at some point.

In my city, if your family name ends with a vowel, you originally descend from nobles; if it ends with a consonant, from slaves.

Definitely not noble in any sense of the word, and I wouldn't call it family either in the way that's supposed to be.
