I'd like to apologize if I offended any Brits, or Aussies, with my comments about your Queen Elizabeth.

It wasn't my intention to attack her character. I'm just saying, I hope she has repented for her past sins and also, she is not Queen of the World. I'm sure she was a nice old lady. May God have mercy on her soul.

Typically thick, ill-educated comment and adding a new depth to the meaning of the word "stupid"

First, the British sovereign has no direct political power. The idea that Elizabeth was in any way a colonizer takes "stupid" to yet another even greater depth

Second, during her reign, the British fully "decolonized". This was a political and practical process, but -on what passed for your logic, she should gain huge credit for that.

She was passionate about the Commonwealth of nations - FREE INDEPENDENT nations, LL ex-colonies, who chose to be members of an association, headed by the British Sovereign that, unique among international groups, has never done a single element of harm, aggression, or exclusion.

And final, given that she is totally free of 'colonising' sins - quite the opposite in fact, no one can repent other's sins. Congratulations on being theologically thick as well as politically and historically ignorant.
@Cynthia
First, the British sovereign has no direct political power.
Currently, she's deceased, therefore, she cannot have any political power. Historically, when your Queen Elizabeth took the crown in 1953, the Monarch ruled over 39 colonies and protectorates. The last British Colony was Hong Kong, where the transfer of sovereignty was passed to China in 1997.

As the Crown, your Queen Elizabeth retained the authority as Head of State in those colonies. She had the powers to appoint Prime ministers and governors, and also the power to remove them - a prerogative she executed in 1975 when she removed elected Australian Prime Minister Gough Whitlam from his position. Your Queen also exerted authority through her influence as The Crown.

The history of The United Kingdom and how the colonists robbed its colonies of precious resources and artifacts cannot be simply ignored as if it didn't happen. Even the Crown Jewels were stolen from the colonies. After the death of the malignant dictator/monarch, India has called for the return of the Kohinoor, one of the largest cut diamonds in the world - valued at $400 million. The diamond is currently set in the Crown of the Queen Mother. In addition to Kohinoor, there are other diamonds that were stolen by The British, such as The Great Star of Africa - the largest cut diamond in the world. Collectively, the value of the stolen Crown Jewels is between $10 and $12 billion.

No, Queen Elizabeth didn't just relinquish power over those colonies. Many of those colonies fought for their independence. Ghana, for example, was the first Sub-Saharan African country to gain its independence. Shortly after WWII, the country was rife with riots and protests. During early 1948, several leaders from the Gold Coast (Ghana), inspired by Ghadhi's nonviolence movement, led protests in the city of Accra. They were arrested by the colonial authorities and held in prison for years. Ghana didn't gain its independence until 1957. Independence of African nations was the result of the Ghadhi inspired nonviolence movement - not Queen Elizabeth's goodwill.

To say that Queen Elizabeth should get credit for decolonization is like saying slavery ended in America because the Whites in the South gave up their slaves. The Monarch had little choice.

@RocktheHouse Well there is ups and downs with any government and country since the making of time. lets take Ghana back to the 1400s and before. Lets take Hong Kong before 1997, Lets look at Pakistan and India during and after. And the West Indies and the Faulk lands, surely there are ups and downs, even with America. Minerals are being mined and taken every second, yes stolen even financially stolen by other countries, and companies with the support of the public high financial countries. Then this and these being enjoyed by you and me. But in retrospect that's politics. We have all signed a document of slavery in one way or another. So this why we all ask God for help and forgiveness, This is why we say God Bless America, God Bless The Queen or King, Fear God and honor The Queen, God homeland and freedom. God Union liberty. I am not down playing what you have researched, but the blame game is so far universal. Be Blessed and God Save The King.

@llloydfred Fact check in its proper usage means not go to or find " Fact Check" and thats it. To me / myself not anyone else fact check means use the web as a world media, find the articles research articles at least 6 or more and the information with in it. And again use encyclopedias other articles and other facts to find the truth, this could take some time, but it is rather to have over information than under information. It is better to "Overstand than Understand all information", Peace

true. unfortunately i don't think she did repent of her sins i don't know her heart though only God knows what was in her heart
@texasborn89 Prince William and King Charles III did apologize for their family's history - even when they had nothing to do with it. Queen Elizabeth was a colonizer and I'm not sure if she ever apologized.
