—The January jobs report showed that the US economy added a stunning 353,000 jobs last month, confounding market expectations Friday morning and pushing up Treasury yields.
—The unemployment rate stayed at 3.7%.
—Job gains were mostly focused in health care and social assistance, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
—A new CNN poll shows the public’s long-held pessimism about the economy is easing — but a majority of Americans still think the US economy is in trouble.
—While the latest jobs numbers underscore the strength of the US economy, it remains to be seen if the data could push back the timeline for interest rate cuts, which markets were hoping would start in March.
—Fed Chair Jerome Powell poured cold water on that notion Wednesday, saying there would be no rate cut that month. Friday's whopper of a jobs number certainly confirms that.

While the economy at the Macro level is in a great shape, at the micro level, up to 62% of Americans, in one income group, feel they're living paycheck to paycheck.

The malaise associated with the pandemic and inflation, despite both going away/easing off, has not lifted off.

Love the Trump brags though: Stock market hit its highest ever numbers, because people expect him to win. Of course MAGA king, is also pre-empting rate cuts, by claiming that Biden is going to push the Fed to cut rates, to restart the middle class real estate space, that's been in the doldrums. This despite the fact there is zero proof. But Trump projects. When he was President, he was blabbing all over social media, that the Fed needs to cut interest rates, because it's making him look bad.

True, the class war has been more successful than usual. American senior citizens are homeless at record high rates, and dying younger, too.
As a homeless senior citizen from the richest country, which is arming several wars and getting ready for war on China in 2025, I have to say - This is what Americans want from a country. They have hated me forever!
