Is Joe Biden POTUS or not?

It seems a bit strange how a few days after hostilities break out in the Middle East Biden is heading there. According to former secret service people such a trip takes weeks of careful planning to keep the president safe. So either Biden is not president and the Secret Service doesn't care to protect him or this trip and war was planned weeks ago. Strange doings.

Again, didn’t Biden and Netanyahu meet not too long ago prior to the 7 Oct attack by Hamas? And both Israeli and U.S.didn’t see this hamas attack coming?
And there is more taxpayer money being sent to Gaza in the form of aid ( humanitarian gesture- but who assured its use as intended?) And a massive funding request to Congress to assure Israel has what military assets it needs.
I agree. Strange doings.

@soar2newhighs My point is simply that since these trips are planned to the tiniest detail weeks in advance how is it possible for Biden to pack his tooth brush and a package of Depends and head to Israel in a few days of hostilities breaking out. Something simply is not making sense.

@hippyjoe1955 Perhaps, and it’s guessing on my part; that first meeting may not have covered all the bases. Might be the outbreak of hostile made such a trip necessary. But then too, he wasn’t in Israel that long.

@soar2newhighs There was no purpose in him going. No one wanted to meet with him. He had to force Netanyahu to meet him. Egypt and Jordan turned him down flat. Huge embarrassment for him and the US.

@BizSuitStacy It is all very convenient given that Ukraine is losing the war badly and the US can't justify sending anymore money to the lost cause that is Ukraine that war breaks out in Israel and the war is so severe that the US has to sent two carrier groups to the region. Sometime the plot is so thin you can see right through it.

@hippyjoe1955 We’ll I guess, again, just a guess, the money in the form of aid to Gaza and requested to Congress for Israel is the administration’s way of getting out of a conundrum.
